Scientist - Liquid Biopsy & Molecular Diagnostics (m/f/d)
LOCATION: Hilden (near Duesseldorf)
DEPARTMENT: Research & Development
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Regular Full-Time
Position is within our PreAnalytiX Joint Venture R&D team (QIAGEN/Becton Dickinson Company)
Development of innovative molecular diagnostics products and technologies for preanalytical workflows
Launching new products to market in compliance with industry/regulatory standards
Collaboration within interdisciplinary project teams and across company functions
Life cycle management and technical support for the existing product lines
Supervision of staff activities

Scientific degree (PhD) in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related field
Detailed knowledge of modern molecular biology techniques, in particular sample collection, nucleic acid purification and analytical test technologies
Basic knowledge in nucleic acid stabilization, NGS and digital PCR is advantageous
Experience in in vitro diagnostics development is an asset

Personal Requirements

German and English fluent in spoken and written
Excellent organizational, reporting and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Willingness to travel (~10%)
Independent, self-responsible and team-oriented
