The Application Support Engineer is responsible for the proper configuration of the particular automation task. He / she is primarily active on customer sites.
PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the Sales Organization in preparation of quotes
• Perform FEED studies
• Develop Typical functions with the DeltaV system according to customers specs
• Implement configuration on customers site
• Identify areas of improvement of the performance of the application / installation
• Consult the customer about potential improvements
• Support the improvement of the relationship with the customer
• Support the Project Manager in the planning activities
• Provide on-call service for installed applications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Degree in State-certified technician "Staatlich geprüfter Techniker"; industrial training as 'Elektroniker Fachrichtung Automatisierungstechnik' or comparable education
• Relevant experience a from process industry such as Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Refineries would be beneficial
• Good communications skills and fluent in English -written and spoken
• Technical competencies
• Product Knowledge
• Availability to work non-office hours and perform call-out services, if applicable
• Driving license for car and willingness for travel
